Quote of the day:
“I’ve always felt that a person’s intelligence is directly reflected by the number of conflicting points of view he can entertain simultaneously on the same topic.”
-Former First Lady Abigail Adams
Super Tuesday Recap:
President Donald Trump swept to an expected but crushing series of victories on Super Tuesday, winning 14 of the 15 states up for grabs. The only state that he lost was Vermont, which was an open primary - meaning any affiliated party could vote, including Democrats. Unsurprisingly, this is the only state where Haley eked out a razor-thin win.
Here are the states that Trump won:
Virginia
North Carolina
Oklahoma
Arkansas
Tennessee
Alabama
Texas
California
Utah
Alaska
Maine
Massachusetts
Colorado
Minnesota
Trump gave a victory speech from his home, Mar-a-Lago, on Tuesday evening, calling the evening “amazing” and “inspiring.”
“Success will bring UNITY to our country,” he said.
On Wednesday morning, GOP candidate and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley finally suspended her campaign. She did not endorse Trump.
With Haley’s exit from the race, Trump has essentially clinched the Republican presidential nomination. He has now pivoted toward the general election and set his sights on Joe Biden.
What’s next for Trump:
Trump will give a play-by-play rebuttal of Joe Biden’s Thursday State of the Union address. Trump announced on Wednesday that he would be giving live reactions to the SOU address via his personal feed on Truth Social. Tune in to his feed tomorrow HERE.
Trump will rally support in Georgia. Trump will hold a “Get Out the Vote Rally” in Rome, Georgia, on Saturday, March 9, at 5:00 p.m. ET.
The 45th president has challenged Biden to a debate. As the prospective nominee of the Republican Party, Trump challenged Joe Biden to a formal debate after his Super Tuesday clean sweep. He wrote the following: “It is important, for the Good of our Country, that Joe Biden and I Debate Issues that are so vital to America, and the American People. Therefore, I am calling for Debates, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANYPLACE! The Debates can be run by the Corrupt DNC, or their Subsidiary, the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD). I look forward to receiving a response. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
