President Donald Trump arrived on Monday in Fort Pierce, Florida, for a closed-door hearing on the classified documents case, which is tentatively set to go to trial on May 20, 2024. President Trump often refers to this case as the “boxes hoax.”
On Sunday, Feb. 11, Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church was locked down due to an active shooter situation. On Monday, the shooter was identified as Genesse Escalante-Moreno, a transgender-identifying woman who sometimes called herself “Jeffrey.” The words “Free Palestine” were reportedly written on her weapon.
Moreno reportedly brought a five-year-old child with her into the church. The child sustained a gunshot, and according to TPM, is sadly not expected to survive.
The Kansas City Chiefs took home the win in Sunday’s Super Bowl LVIII, with a final score of 22-25.

Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee stated during a hearing on Monday that Fulton County DA Fani Willis’s swirling allegations of misconduct and unethical behavior “could result in disqualification” from the election-related RICO case in the Peach State.
President Trump draws thousands to primary rally in Conway, South Carolina. Saturday’s “Get Out the Vote” rally at Coastal Carolina University was so massive that thousands of people were unable to get into the venue’s maxed-out capacity. Trump spoke to the overflow crowd and promised to return soon with another rally.

Kari Lake earns the endorsement of two conservative lawmakers. Arizona Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake has been endorsed by Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., and Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., the Daily Caller revealed on Monday. She was initially endorsed by President Donald Trump last fall when she announced her senatorial bid.
Sen. J.D. Vance discovers dangerous text aimed at hurting Trump in Ukraine Supplemental bill. The controversial bill has what he calls an “impeachment time bomb if he [Trump] tries to stop funding the war in Ukraine.” Withdrawing these funds would give Democrats grounds to impeach Trump as soon as September 2025, if he ended the war in Ukraine as he has vowed to do. Vance is asking for House Republicans to vote against the supplemental.
NYT reports on President Trump’s rumored potential pick for RNC co-chair. The New York Times reported this week that Trump is reportedly eyeing his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, to co-chair the Republican National Committee. Please note that their report is unconfirmed.
What’s new with President Donald J. Trump:
Trump will hold a rally on Valentine’s Day. The president will make good on his promise of returning to South Carolina on Wednesday, February 14, in North Charleston, where he will hold a “Get Out the Vote” rally. He is scheduled to speak at 7:00 p.m. ET.
Trump will rally again on February 17 in Michigan. South Carolina and Michigan are next up on the docket as far as GOP primary elections go, and the president will be visiting Waterford Township, Michigan, to rally supporters on Saturday, February 17, at the Elite Jet Center at Contact. He is expected to deliver remarks at 7:00 p.m. ET.
