Quote of the day:
“One man with courage makes a majority.”
-President Andrew Jackson
News summary for the nation:
Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley lost the Nevada primary on Tuesday night to “None of these” by a nearly 30-point margin. No other candidates of note were on the ballot, so Nevada GOP voters decided to choose “none of these” instead of Haley by 61 percent. In Nevada, the caucus and primary are divided into two separate days. Tomorrow’s Nevada Caucus is the only way GOP candidates can earn delegates. Haley will not be on the ballot tomorrow, February 8. Trump will win the caucus unchallenged.
George Soros’ son, Alex Soros, made a shadowy statement at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland this week. He stated that, in 2024, President Trump "either winds up in prison or he winds up in power.” It seems as if the president’s enemies are feeling desperate.
On Tuesday, Feb. 6, the death of country music “American Soldier” Toby Keith was announced. He was 62. He was best known for hit songs like “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,” “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” “Made in America,” and “Beer for My Horses.” He also performed in 2016 at the inauguration celebration for President Donald J. Trump.
Important America First bullet points:
Gina Carano files a lawsuit against Disney/Lucasfilm and Elon Musk foots the bill. In a generous gesture, SpaceX, Tesla, and X CEO Elon Musk has offered to pay for the lawsuits of those who were fired by big companies for exercising their right to free speech on X (formerly Twitter). He is footing the bill for Gina Carano’s lawsuit against the House of Mouse. She was shockingly fired from Disney’s Mandalorian for comments she made on X.
D.C. Federal Court of Appeals rules Trump does not have immunity. In a jarring legal decision, the D.C. Court of Appeals created a precedent for all former and future presidents by ruling that Trump did not have presidential immunity while he was the sitting president in 2021. He is currently facing trial and potential prosecution in a D.C. election-related case at this time. This decision will be swiftly appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.
RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel will step down after South Carolina primary. Amid tepid fundraising and a disastrous ground game strategy for grassroots campaigning, RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel is reportedly planning to resign from her position in a couple of weeks, multiple outlets have reported. This comes after President Trump mentioned this week that he would be making recommendations for RNC leadership positions “the day after the South Carolina Primary.”
Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., and Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., join forces for pro-Trump resolution. The two America First representatives are co-sponsoring a resolution in the House that would state that President Donald Trump did not engage in an insurrection or a rebellion against the United States. “Rogue Democrat operatives are attempting to use this lie to illegally take President Trump off the ballot,” Stefanik wrote on X.
National/International politics:
Tucker Carlson confirms interview with Vladimir Putin. The popular X-based journalist revealed in a Tuesday video that he was, indeed, in Moscow to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin, citing how important it was for Americans to hear both sides of the story on the war unfolding in Eastern Europe. He also suggested that Joe Biden was spying on his text messages and communications in a possible attempt to stop the interview from happening.
The European Union reportedly threatens to sanction Carlson for Putin interview. Reports surfaced on Wednesday that the EU is seeking to sanction Carlson for “assisting” Putin by…interviewing him. MEP Luis Garicano allegedly said that Carlson was a “propagandist” for interviewing Putin. The irony is not lost on most Americans who have watched Ukrainian President Zelensky appear on television countless times, asking for more U.S. aid, unchallenged.
Nikki Haley is not poised to win a single state in the GOP primary. New data from Morning Consult heavily suggested that Haley is not capable of winning even one state in the GOP election. It is projected that she will be forced to drop out of the primary race after South Carolina, although this is not confirmed.
Trump recommends Michael Whatley to replace RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. According to Fox News Digital, Trump has already made his decision on recommending a leadership change: North Carolina GOP Chair Michael Whatley. He is also the General Counsel for the RNC and holds a law degree and a Masters in theology.
What’s new with President Donald J. Trump:
Trump hits back at D.C. appeals decision on presidential immunity. On Truth Social, the president explained, “If not overturned, as it should be, this decision would terribly injure not only the Presidency, but the Life, Breath, and Success of our Country. A President will be afraid to act for fear of the opposite Party’s Vicious Retribution after leaving Office. I know from personal experience because I am going through it right now. It will become a Political Weapon used for Election Interference.”
Trump hints that he might release a “list” of America First companies. The president addressed last summer’s Anheuser-Busch disaster, which cost the company millions of dollars. He wrote, “The Bud Light ad was a mistake of epic proportions, and for that a very big price was paid, but Anheuser-Busch is not a Woke company, but I can give you plenty that are, am building a list, and might just release it for the World to see.”
45 will sweep Super Tuesday states by big margins. Per Morning Consult, Trump is set to easily win California, Texas, North Carolina, Virginia, Alabama, Massachusetts, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. He is also expected to precede those victories with big wins in Nevada and South Carolina.
President Trump will hold “Get Out the Vote” Rally on Saturday in South Carolina. The president will speak at Coastal Carolina University on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 2:00 p.m. ET. He is also set to address the NRA Presidential Forum at the Great American Outdoor Show on Friday, Feb. 9.
